The one who reigns in your heart is the one who controls you. The freedom Christ gave us is complete freedom. When you confessed Jesus as the son of God in your heart, you opened a door for Him to have room in your heart. Doing that was just the entry point of experiencing total freedom in Christ.
This scripture was addressing the wicked whose thoughts were not as the thoughts of God. In contrast, David displayed the power of God because His thoughts were aligned with the thoughts of God. When you go to God with your ears open and ready to listen to God, then your thoughts begin to align with the thoughts of God.
Your greatest enemy is the devil and if you partner with him, you also become an enemy to yourself. You become your own worst enemy. The work of the thief who is the devil is to steal, kill and destroy. Anything coming into your life that has a characteristic of stealing, killing or destroying you must be coming from the devil.
We tend to think that enemies are those fighting us. No human being is your enemy but it's the spirit of the evil one that conveys a message that may affect your life in a negative way. The enemy uses the people you are close to to affect your relationship with God. The messages that affect us are from those people we love the most. Could be family members or friends.
Know that only Jesus can solve your problems and save you. At a personal level know that Jesus took your troubles, shame, illnesses, agony and took your position. Died and rose again with victory and it is in that victory that he helps us. Begin to understand that you need help from Jesus Christ Himself and not from your relatives or those around you.
What is breakthrough? It is overcoming oneβs weakness. Jesus our master and great teacher when he was in the world, he experienced what we all go through. He was full of the Holy Spirit and did the impossible but at this point, he confessed of his weakness that his heart was heavily troubled and was filled with grief.
Do you believe that Jesus is the son of God? If you are a believer you automatically qualify to win the battles in this life. Life is a battle, there are things in this world that we fight against now and then. What will give us victory is to believe that Jesus is the son of God. If you believe Jesus is the son of God, you become a child of God.
What you discovered first is your physical nature during birth and later on in life you became conscious of the spiritual nature. So you need to honour your birth parents first. Your heart and attitude towards your parents should be positive. Wish them well. You can never outgrow your parents.
